Purpose

The purpose of this group is to encourage marketing and recruitment of members and awareness of PBS across the state through other events that are occurring.

Summary of Major Activities

2017 MNPBS Gathering: Our first annual MNPBS event on February 10, 2017 generated a high level of interest in PBS throughout the state of Minnesota with 174 members attending onsite and approximately 90-115 via remote connection.  Dr. Barry McCurdy spoke about the importance of systems in PBS, and the breakout strands covering the lifespan offered amazing information about the implementation of PBS within different age groups. 2018 MNPBS Collaborators Forum: This was our second annual MNPBS event on May 9, 2018. Our keynote Dr. Ashley MacSuga-Gage spoke about ways that PBS practitioners, researchers, and consumers have formed meaningful connections. Members were given time to initiate contacts within and across their regions in Minnesota. The breakout sessions were organized by age strands. The Forum’s themes of implementation, collaboration and professional development cut across each age strand to allow members to see examples within their age demographic and other areas across the lifespan.
