Community-Based Positive Support Modules
The modules in this section provide information about how positive supports work and focus on one type of practice: positive behavior support or PBS. These modules can be a helpful way to learn more about supporting people who might experience challenges in everyday life and/or when transitioning back into the community after a visit to the emergency room or hospital. There are currently four modules in this section:
- Introduction to Community-based Supports
- Positive Approaches to Community Supports
- Skill-building Practices
- Long-term Planning & Supports
Coming Soon!
The next two modules are in process. These modules include:
- Integrating Positive Behavior Support with Cognitive Behavioral Strategies to Treat Anxiety in Youth and Adults with Autism and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and
- Modifying Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to Treat Anxiety in Individuals
with Autism and/or IDD.
These modules by Lauren Moskowitz will provide guidance, ideas, and strategies that can be included in a positive behavior support plan
