From the Encyclopedia of Behavior Modification and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Volume Three, Educational Applications

Wraparound planning is a process that builds on the strengths of a child and his or her family. The wraparound planning approach considers all of the important parts of a child’s life across home, school, and community and is used to improve social, emotional and behavioral outcomes for the child. Wrapround planning is linked to systems of care because it is used to create positive connections between families, schools, and community partners. This article includes a story about Lamar, a third grader and his mother who participated in a wraparound plan.
